Reno County Livestock Sale

The annual livestock sale will start at 6:30pm July 29th in the Beef Barn at the Kansas State Fair. Buyers meal starting at 5:30.

What is the purpose of the livestock sale?

The purpose of our auction is to help motivate 4-H members to strive for excellence as they learn about agriculture and the livestock industry through raising, fitting and exhibiting livestock. The livestock project builds character, creates discipline, teaches youth about agriculture, sportsmanship, and so much more!

What does the 4H'er do with the money?

All of the money goes directly back to the 4-Hers. They use this money to help pay for their project expensessuch as feed bills, vet care, and supplies. Many of the 4-Hers will use this money to help purchase and raiseanother livestock project for the upcoming year. Our older members have used these funds for college expenses,bought their first vehicle, even started local businesses!

How does the sale work?

You will be given a bidder number upon checking in. This number will be used to bid during our live auction. Not sure how to bid? Don't worry, we have an experienced auction company and crew to make the process easy and fun!
